In order to give the children of the Staten Island Community a venue to express their feelings, Freedom From Fear, a non-profit mental illness advocacy organization, with support from the Staten Island art community, teachers and concerned citizens created, "Healing Hands for Hurting Hearts...expressions of young artists," art/poetry program. This program encourages children and adolescents, to use their creativity to share their thoughts and emotions with others.
