The doll used is an 11.5" Candi doll. I used a moss green colored velvet for the dress and train and as an accessory I added chenile wings - thinking fairies find lots of things in the forest to embellish with! Her hair is braided and trimmed with green ribbon as is her dress, foot, and the front of the dress. Her headband is of the same velvet adorned with small leaves and hand formed roses beaded with the green glass lined beads; this same design runs down the front of the skirt. Her gloves are also made of the moss green velvet. The sleeves, bodice and frontice piece have been hand beaded with green rochaille beads, gold sequins and glass lined beads and green glass lined beads and lined with wire for poseability.

About the Artist:
My history of painting commercially and teaching ceramic painting and my love of dolls are the expertise I bring to making One of a Kind Fashion Dolls and the balance I am learning from wonderful artists who give freely of information for doing this through various groups I belong to on Yahoo. I started slowly doing swaps, contests, charity auctions - anything I could to earn the respect of my peers - one day I hope to have enough expertise to offer my dolls for sale. I share my website with my Dad who makes beautiful scrollwork furniture.
