Welcome to the art gallery of Elaine Robertson. The following will give a brief insight into just a few types of the artwork I do.

Elaine is a self-taught artist. She spent a number of years overseas and in the eastern mediteranean area, which has influenced the richness of the colours she uses in her paintings. She produces work in almost every form from pen and ink, pencil, oils, computer and acrylics. She also creates ranges of greeting cards using drawings and photographs and paintings. Versatility is the key to her work. Elaine has exhibited twice at the McLaurin Art Gallery in Scotland, also winning a number of competitions, nationally in Scotland and locally in Ayrshire, Elaine's work has also been seen on Scottish Television.

The picture above is of Lake Pukaki in New Zealand from a photo taken in January of 2002. This was painted in acrylics and is for sale.

All artworks on this site are copyright to Elaine, therefore please seek permission before downloading or reproducing in any format. Thank you.

Illustration/Theatre Sets/Flyers/Posters & Programmes/ Murals.
The following image is representative of the type of theatre/set design and decoration carried out. This is a shot of the set from the production of Hayfever. Just as an aside this is the review of the show. A fantastic production and the artwork got a favourable mention too.

This was from the center of the set of Hayfever performed at the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham, SE London. The picture was created to suggest that the timescale was in the mid 20's and the topic was movie idol of that era. I created this by using a photograph taken in sepia and then painting in greyscale. Above was created by applying a 'Warhol' effect purely for the web. This image is subject to copyright.

This portrait was done in March 2003 of a baby, one of a series of three of the infant. The medium was pencil on heavyweight cartridge paper A3 size. The finished picture was then treated to prevent smudging. The other two pictures were of A4 size

A current example a recent acrylic landscape, using brushes. The picture is 297 x 210 mm on 230gsm acid free paper, with a 10 mm white border around the work.

Not only do I work in colour and paint, but also in pen. These were a number of different portraits for different dog owners all taken from photographs.

This range of greeting cards was designed for Christmas 2002 and all were hand finished with frosting before being packaged. Also within this range are more traditional cards without the use of 'charicatures'. For 2003 onwards the designs have grown brightre and bolder and are used throughout the year for various occasions to create an entertaining and topical range of cards.
