Step 14 - Banding and Stripes |
[ Wings ] [ Tutorials ] [ Home ][ Next ][ Previous] |
| One of the most fun aspects of drawing feathered
wings is the variation in colors and stripes you can use. The last picture
was a completed wing, but I wanted to have a little fun and make it even
more interesting.
I've added two darker purple bands to each of the primary and secondary
feathers. On the longer feathers at the top, you may notice I even tipped
them in purple too...like a third purple band.
From here, I just highlight and clean up the feathers, just like we
did before.
I've also started blending out any of the dark black guidelines to make the wing look more realistic. |
