"Belli Burli makes a Rudj"

Covivant Gallery is proud to present "Belli Burli makes a Rudj," a performance art piece and solo exhibition by Tampa, FL and Vienna, Austria - based artist, A.A. Rucci. The performance is a meditative and sporadically ecstatic 3 day pilgrimage into the "inner state of Rucci" which everyone should make at least once-in-a-lifetime. Performed by the Alpine spirit-chaser Belli Burli, the painting action is a continuation of Rucci's acclaimed and worldwide spaziergang (walk) series which was begun in Tampa in 1992 ("Buroboy"). The nine hour performance takes place in Covivant Gallery over the course of three nights: February 11-13 (M-W), 2002, 7-10pm. Admission is free. The exhibition will consist of the performance tableau, action paintings, videos, costumes, drawings and a print portfolio of documentation of the action. A.A. Rucci regularly exhibits throughout the U.S. and Europe and is included in many major private, corporate, and museum collections. His work spans nearly every medium; "He is able to seamlessly transition from photography to painting to conceptual art and performance with great ability and outstanding results....we believe that he is one of the most talented artists working in Florida" (Genaro Ambrosino, Director, Ambrosino Gallery, Miami)
