The Shops

For around 10 years,in Edmonton, Alberta, my sister and I owned and operated a combination of hair salon and massage practise. For a while, I also operated a store/gallery--'El Guero--Artes y Artesanias', specialising in imported crafts from Mexico, with arts/ crafts/ furniture and country style antiques and reproductions from the Edmonton area.

All paintings in the background are mine.

These photos were taken soon after the opening of the store--after my marathon 2 months of painting and finishing. Later we moved the salon into this space as well.
