Coalition of Creative Artists

Lead by a team of artist/educators, COCA has been continuosly performing since 2000, creating multi-disciplinary events, such as 2004's "Healing across America". This “happening” involved music, dance, poetry and painting, all simultaneously improvised around a central theme. The theme, “Healing across America" explores the reaction of the human spirit to anger, fear and hatred, and the journey towards healing and peace. Structured audience participation is always included.

“Healing across America" represents a human voyage beginning with:

1. Outrage at the level of atrocities being committed against people all over the world.
2. The anger, fear and hatred that causes these atrocities and are a result of them.
3. The journey towards healing beginning with the realization that anger and hatred can only lead us further into darkness. Spirit desires us to accept differences and work towards peaceful co-existance. In this, the Light is revealed.
