My Dorland family is my mother's maternal side of the family. They originally came from Holland and then from Dutchess County, New York to Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada My line is like this:

MY PHILLIPS FAMILY
My great great grandfather was John Philips. He was born in 1791 and died in 1856. I believe he was born in England. He was a soldier in the 37th North Hampshire Regiment of Foot, British Army. in the War of 1812.
John married Catherine Smith, on 1 May 1821, in Hallowell Township, Prince Edward County, Ontario Canada. I have no information on Catherine at this stage of my research.

John Philips (1791) married a 2nd time to Mary Ann Dewell, the daughter of Wilbur Dewell & Keturah Richmond. John & Mary Ann had 8 children:

This family came originally from Heidelberg, Baden Germany. They immigrated to German Valley, Morris County, New Jersey to the Brant and Wentworth areas of Canada.

I found a record for these three from the 1881 Canadain Census in St.Antoine, Montreal, Quebec.
In a record for Non-Catholic Indexes in Montreal I found the following:

I also have Robert M. Symons m: Georgina Boyce. Do not know where they fit but my mother had their names written down. Ther is also an Ethel Symons & Boyce Symons.
