Friday and Saturday, February 11-12, 2005

Westminster Woods

Camp and Conference Center, Occidental, CA

Come join us for an intergenerational, ecumenical retreat in the Redwoods: worship, workshops, music, storytelling, children’s program and good, healthy food!

       Choices of Food and Faith

·   How do we eat as if we were in communion all the time with God and God's creation?

·   How might we live so as to honor health, justice, and joy in the entire world?

·   What practices of feasting and fasting are appropriate during this Lenten season to help us live more deeply and intentionally with our God?

This retreat will celebrate patterns of food consumption, production, and distribution that are healthy and just-- for earth, animals, human workers, and consumers' bodies. It will explore the global realities of hunger and poverty and how these phenomena intersect with our daily food choices. We will discover ways to live and eat responsibly and joyfully, participating in God's good abundance.
