The first bedroom I found in the house was the one in the second image, on the first floor. I was enchanted and wanted it for my own. It has lovely light, a writing desk (in addition to the one partially shown in shot), a lovely view of the garden, and an ensuite bathroom. I felt it would allow me to really immerse myself in the house.
After finding the second room, directly above the first, on the top floor, I found myself referring to the two bedrooms as the masculine and feminine rooms. Their colouring and feel distinctly spoke to me of their genders.
After spending a portion of the afternoon in each, shooting, the "masculine" room felt more like home for me, I think predominantly because I love the colour blue. It doesn't have a view of the garden unless you go onto the balcony above the window ledge level, but to get to said balcony, you have to take the secret spiral staircase, which also leads you to the library and one of the many turrets in the building. I think these factors also made me love this room more.
