I've been wrestling with titling this image since I edited it and planned to post it, on the 27th of April. I'm still not sure this title "fits", but it's the closest I can get to a title that I feel captures the feeling of the image for me.
There's something of Percy Bysshe Shelley, The Cure, and maybe a little of Bertha Antoinetta Mason (aka Mrs Rochester from Jane Eyre) in this image for me. A mixture of longing, grief, madness and melancholy.
The title I've borrowed from a piece of music by Michael Nyman from the soundtrack to The Piano. I love his music and his knack for titling pieces of music.
