Those pictures in that kind of dress reminds me to Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" or "Alice in Wonderland" everytime I see them... :) What's that light effect? Just Gaussian blur?

thanks :D the dress immediately reminded me of both of those when i found it in the store :o)

i used the diffuse glow filter in photoshop to enhance the highlights - it uses gaussian blur but then i also re-sharpen the images to counteract the gaussian blur and bring back the sharpness of the images so they're not too soft focus.

Very beautiful, yet disturbing in a "creepy twins" sort of way (which I suspect is what you were going for, without the twins).

yes, there was a definite kubrick / the shining influence in this series :o) thus the play on the overlook hotel in my title of the entry ;o)

Just found your blog and flickr account through twitter. Fantastic photographs (well the few I've looked at so far)

Just though the yellow road with elton john playing, very much like Dorothy too.

The ones taken in the hospital, give an impression of Alice in Wonderland

thanks for your comments, robin.  both were definitely influences on these two series, though there's also a little kubrick thrown in to this series :D  thank you for checking out my work.
