Temple of Heaven
This
masterpiece of Ming architecture is one of the most photographed building in the
world for its elegant beauty and symmetry. Built between 1406 and 1420, it was
used by the emperor for ceremonies honoring the god of harvests. Today, the
Temple of Heaven is surrounded by a 660-acre park, with music playing softly
throughout the day.
