BEFORE

This client, was tired of having his hair long and was ready for a more conservative look that didn't fall into his eyes.

The plan was to start a shorter cut, leaving the top in a longish bob with a weight line on the sides that blended into the shorter length in the back. We were going to start there, see what he thought, and go shorter on the top if we didn't like it longer.

Turned out that he really liked the longer top, so we left it as you see. A good rule of thumb when cutting hair is that you can ALWAYS go shorter, but you can't put hair back on that you've cut off. Start longer and get shorter if needed.

This new look has completely changed his image.

This client was ready for a big change in hair style. A hairstylists favorite thing to do!!

Layers were added all over and shaped around her face. The style was blown dry by scrunching with mousse and hairspray and voala.....a brand new woman!

EXPLANATION

This client was curious, but very nervous about coloring his light grey hair. He had seen some very badly done "dye jobs" on men and knew that he didn't want one of those.

The solution was to do an extremely subtle low-light with a natural dark blonde shade using a semi-permanent color. The color was painted on by hand for natural looking placement. Semi-permanent color was used so that he could experiment without making a commitment to the color change.
