Larsa:

Became the capital city of the southern provinces under Hammurabi. At Larsa Nebuchadrezzar rebuilt the temple of sun-god (sun-god was a son of moon-god & was particularly associated with Sippar & Larsa).

The art form of Larsa, was a little different from those of the traditional Sumerian Ur III kings, terracotta achieved a new significance as an artistic medium, and among the smallest antiquities of the period are enormous number of clay plaques, poor men’s dedications to the temple.

A New-Babylonian text provides a unique reference to a medical specialist, an eye doctor and also Midwifery was in the hands of women and there is a mention of a woman physician in an Old Babylonian text from Larsa.
