Estate grown and bottled Nebbiolo di Barolo from Icardi Barolo vineyards.

Piereno Icardi makes wines with an incredible mass appeal while at the same time holding to the traditional quality standards and flavor profiles demanded by the DOCG and the Barolo drinking public.  One of the few who can truly make a deliciously drinkable wine that still tastes like “Barolo.”

Icardi uses modern winemaking techniques including temperature controlled fermentations in stainless steel vats to increase flavor and color extraction.  Shortened fermentation also adds to his ability to control tannin type, opting for the sweet, soft tannins given to hot, quick fermentations.

Amazingly supple, and vibrant on the palate, the Parej exhibits the bursting, dynamic fruit flavors achievable from the highest quality nebbiolo fruit as well as instilling a keen sense of terrior.  The flavors are impeccably balanced and filled with delicious earthy, clean truffle tones, deep blackberry jam, spice, and a whiff of cherry pipe tobacco smoke.

One of the truly great Barolos capable of being fully enjoyed upon release, lay it down for 10 years and you will have a masterpiece.
