Just wanted to forward this info onto anyone in the Indiana area who would be interested in some fun classes with a the wonderful Betty Curry! OAK BASKET WEAVING SEPTEMBER 10, 11, & 12, 2004 The 6th annual oak weaving weekend with Betty Curry in Bloomington, Indiana still has some spaces available. Last year's location at the Wylie House worked out so well and the curator of the museum has graciously invited us back so it is all systems go for another fun weaving time. The Wylie House built in 1835, was the home of Indiana University's first president, Andrew Wylie, and his family. Today Wylie House is owned and operated by Indiana University as an historic house museum. The Annex, located adjacent to the museum is where we will be having our classes. The annex and museum are located only a few blocks from downtown at 307 East Second Street, the northeast corner of Second and Lincoln. Street parking is available on Second Street directly in front of the museum, or around the corner on Lincoln. After you walk the peaceful grounds and tour the museum you will agree this is a perfect place to learn traditional white oak basket weaving. If you are interested in securing lodging for the weekend, please do that soon. There is no home football game, but Bloomington is a busy place in the fall. Information about some of the area hotels is posted on the web page so look for the appropriate link. Please, no children. If you have any questions, email or call Linda Boyle Gibson: 812-333-1817 or 800-997-1948. E-mail: inahandbasket@insightbb.com.
