Kard III The Empress

The Empress, kard III, is the earth mother. She represents motherhood, abundance, domestic comfort, security. She is fertile and caring, offering warmth in times of stress. It is the card of spring. The twelve stars above her head represent the twelve signs of the zodiac. She overlooks everyone in her kind, caring way. The obvious reading of this kard is pregnancy and childbirth. It also shows a full and happy life. The Empress gives nourishment. Reversed:Watch for problems with pregnancy or childbirth. A woman who is tyrannical and wants to always have everything her way or no way. It can be a woman who smothers and dampens dreams of those around her. She is not beyond emotional blackmail.

Kard IV The Emperor

The Emperor, kard IV, is a middle-aged man, he exudes confidence and accomplishment. He is where he wants to be. He has achieved. But as he looks across his lands he cannot see the whole picture. Only one side of his face is displayed. He has blind spots in his personality and in his view of the world. The ram's heads on his throne and sceptor represent the sign of Aries. This man has the firey qualities of Aries. He has a temper.The Emerpor can show achievement and high honor. He is ambitious. He can also be a man who will help you in your endeavors. The Heirophant, Pope, or High Priest, the V kard, is ruled by Taurus. The High Priest like any priest is concerned with morality. His glowing sceptor represents the trinity:Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He is a studied man, introverted but looking outward with a helping hand. He is the kard of fatherhood. He can represent a father, a man soon to become a father, or any man in the family tree. He is the moral leader and sets the pace for the family. He is wise and capable.
