Sticks and Stones is a small art studio located just outside of White Salmon, Washington in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

Wayne and Katie Cordrey began building Wayne's furniture designs  in 1998 under the name "Sticks and Stones." At first, they sold what they made at Hood River's Saturday Market. Later, from a roadside shed at their home, then from Made in the Gorge co-op in Hood River and a storefront in White Salmon, Washington.

In June 2003, Sticks and Stones opened a retail sales outlet in Hood River, Oregon. In August 2006, it was back to to downtown White Salmon in a shared a space with Elizabeth See's Shaky Ground Tile. In late 2007, the retail store took on books as a focus. While there are a few pieces of Sticks and Stones Furniture on display, the bulk of the buisness once again takes place from home.

There, a new 36'x60' shop building better accommodates the process of furniture-making. The smaller, older building now holds a graphics and fine art studio.

You can expect to see new products in the future sold through selected outlets and open studio events.
