The Scarlet Coven of London was formed shortly after the convention of thorns. They were
signed under a special agreement with the Regent which obligated them by contract to accept
each campaign assigned without question. Often the tasks they are given would be impossible if
the rules were not 'slightly bent' to suite the situation, and so this granted privilege is often taken
full advantage of. This has lead to a strong (and not necessarily good) reputation of the coven.
Although their success rate is high, the means by which they do their work is not always agreed
upon. Many younger Kindred (particularly those distanced from their European roots) have
come to the belief that the Scarlet Coven is nothing more than a rumor because, quite frankly,
such reckless behavior could not possibly be allowed- even in the Sabbat. Nothing could be
further from the truth, however. The Scarlet Coven stands as one of the oldest covens in
exsistance- a title which gives it and its members a large amount of respect. Along with the
honour of being a member to this coven, however, comes notoriety. Many of the members had
made a name for themselves long before their entrance to the coven through destructive behavior,
misdealings, and frequent problems with adhering to Kindred law.
Although the primary function of the coven is fundamentally to keep the Camarilla on its toes, it
serves other functions as well. They frequently establish minor packs throughout the world, and
check up on their progress. Should these packs be not up to par they are disbanded, or dealt with
through the coven's signature method of problem solving- destruction.
All in all, the Scarlet Coven of London is a group of professional firebrands free to raise hell by
any means of their choosing. Such a group, obviously, causes as much controversy within its
own sect, as it does headaches for the Camarilla. They keep the neutrality of London by
tormenting the powerful Camarilla groups of the city in check, and at the same time burn their
name into the history of their sect over and over again by their brilliant, but startlingly
unconventional methods.
