Scott Berggren's Live Recordings

ATTENTION!!! THIS IS NO LONGER MY PRIMARY LIST. TO SEE THE MOST UP TO DATE LIST, GO HERE:

www.phishhook.com/lists/iudaea

I am leaving this list here (and updating it occasionally with some of my new stuff) to catch the search engine traffic (phishhook is not searched). If you want to trade, go to phishhook first to get my whole collection. Or, if you see something here, we can trade for it. Thanks!

Thanks for visiting the scottberggren.com live recording list! I've collected live music from cool bands, and would love to share it with you. I am particularly interested in artists/bands like Rich Mullins, Sunny Day Real Estate, My Bloody Valentine, Roadside Monument, The Gloria Record, Mineral, Starflyer 59, Slowdive, and other bands that rock.

I'd love to set up a trade with you if you are interested. Contact me at scottberggren "at" yahoo "dot" com and we'll talk. Before you consider it, though here are the rules I hold myself to, and I expect the same courtesy from you:

1. I only trade. Nothing is for sale. Don't support "traders" that sell CD's for profit (more than the price of blanks and postage). Keep the music free.

2. I don't trade commercially available recordings, so don't ask or offer any.

3. I use quality discs. No generics. It takes very little to chip the flimsy silver layer and ruin a cheap disc. Examples of OK CD's: Maxell, Memorex, Sony, TDK, Imation, Kodak.

4. CD's are sent in individual sleeves, never doubled up. I use paper or plastic envelope-style CD sleeves, or occasionally the dual pocket wallet-style sleeves.

5. I protect the discs when I mail them. I use a padded mailer, pad the CD's, or wrap them in heavy cardboard.

6. I don't write on your CD's. I put a Post-It note with the CD that has all the show info on it.

7. I always burn Disc-at-Once. If there aren't gaps between the tracks, then there's no need to add them.

8. I always send first class. I'm not going to make you wait another week or two to save myself 30 cents.

9. I no longer trade or want mp3-sourced material. I have internet access and can download mp3's myself. SHN'd stuff is okay, but the CD's you send me need to be in .wav format (normal CD format).

10. If I contact you first, I will send first if you want me to. If you contact me first, I may ask the same.

Sorry if that sounds pedantic, but good traders follow good guidelines to ensure a quality trade. Shoot me an email (scottberggren "at" yahoo "dot" com) and I'll be happy to trade with you!

VenueDateRatingNotes/Source

Cafe au Go-Go 09.29-30.69 A- Contains fragments of two evenings at the famous Cafe au Go-Go, with several multi-song jams. Good vintage club feel, reminds me of the "guitar amp tape" booleg from the Velvet Underground. (1 CD)
Fillmore West, San Francisco CA 07.02.71 A+ Great show from the closing week of the Bill Graham's Fillmore West. This is the last Dead show at that venue. Graham introduces the show, which contains many great Dead songs from that era. (3 CD)
Dylan/Dead tour rehearsals March/April '87 A- Three discs of tracks from the rehearsals between Bob Dylan and the Dead before their '87 tour. These cd's contain over 40 songs. a.k.a. "The French Girl" bootleg (3 CD)
