Name: Razorclaw X
Aliases: The Big Bad Predacon Crab, RCX, 'That Wheel of Fire Guy'
Beast mode: Fiddler Crab
Allegiance: Predacon
Function: Undercover Attack/Quick Strike Specialist

Capable of remaining motionless beneath a layer of sand, Razorclaw is one of the best quick attack specialists they've got! When enemies approach his hidden location, his powerful pincer claw shoots up through the surface to capture and impale victims with the claw's protruding cyber-spikes! Radar defeating shell armor allows him to stay cloaked from Maximal sensors. Blaster rifle in his secondary in claw fires disrupter particles, temporarily paralyzing his unsuspecting prey.

Strength: 8.0
Intelligence: 4.0
Speed: 2.0
Endurance: 9.0
Rank: 3.0
Courage: 9.0
Firepower: 5.0
Skill: 6.0

Seriously, though, Razorclaw X is a cutter (bad Planescape lingo) that currently exists in cyberspace after several runaround events. In actuality, the name originally springs from the Master of Magic (old computer game, also appeared in Master of Orion 2) hero, 'Mystic X.' Of course, during the rise of Beast Wars X changed his name to suit his favorite Transformer toy... Razorclaw, a nifty little crab character.

His current list of bastard servers include: Geocities, Yahoo, Xoom, Tripod, Fortunecity, Angelfire. So far.

Be wary when disturbing the crab (or anyone he respects), lest you become the hunted....

RCX is a member of Campaign Creations.

The Serious Stuff

I have a really big ego that tops Mt. Shasta easily (FYI really tall mountain) and excessive pride that could flood the Chinese highlands easily, and as such (plus any other Deadly Sin (TM) I've committed) depending on how bad you present yourself when communicating with me you might leave without your head (partially reflected in the E-mail FAQ which was created for that reason).

What X Thinks About Anime/Manga

It's entertaining. That's all. If the story and plot are good, odds are I like it. If the characters make me sympathize with them through their behavior and their actions, chances are I'll like that character (and chances are I won't like many characters either). If it has really good art/animation, chances are I'll like it. If it's really funny, chances are I'll like it. That's entertainment.

There are also a lot of people out there who make an even bigger deal out of certain series' or characters. Personally, I think most of them are crazy. No, I won't have a problem with people who write fanfiction or draw pictures of characters (I even do that), and I don't have TOO much a problem with people dressing-up in costume as their favorite characters (that's on a case-by-case basis and mainly on taste; I've seen some really bad things in my days)-- but people who worship characters/series' are nutballs. They need to get a life. As follows:

  1. A knight or paladin, or any variant going by whatever name, is high on my list of disturbed. These people run around like really bad evangelists-- they actively try to justify their 'chosen way' (for a lack of better description) and enforce their 'way,' sometimes on others. They believe so much in their 'way' that they can think nothing but that 'way.' Some are so insecure with themselves that they actively try to find 'new recruits' as if they were a cult religion....
  2. People who think they're otaku usually have no real idea what the word means; if you called me otaku that guarantees you get on my hit list. The term is misused quite often by those who equate it with 'fanboy;' I assure you, otaku is much, much worse than that. In short, otaku are lifeless morons who spend all their time doing nothing but watch anime and all that rot-- they live it, they want to date it, and they want to BE it (may even cosplay as if it were their normal clothes...). A real otaku, in short, is someone who needs a life.
  3. Technical critics soley exist to take the enjoyment out of the show/story/whatever. I don't care a lot about the technicalities if the story is entertaining, but if you're going to hack something to death leave me out of it.

You will not see me worshiping characters on any of these web pages; I make a page if I feel the subject matter deserves a page. I call it a shrine if I want to; it's my site (after all, I don't necessarily have to worship the shrine). Which means I don't worship Pokemon, Ranma, Beast Wars, Samurai Shodown, or any of that. Incidentally, I hate Sailor Moon and Pokemon, so why did I make pages for those? Go on and look at the subject matter in them and come back with a better question.

The long and the short of it: it's a source of entertainment, just like reading a book. So what?

Top Ten Favorite Anime Characters

Listing current as of 12/11/00. Unlike other Top Lists this isn't in any particular order because that's just plain too hard. If I went into Top Ten Favorite Characters the list would be way too hard; I like too many characters. So here it goes:

  • Tamasaburo. (Saber Marionette J) She's dead cold, dead serious, and dead cool. Well, she also may as well be dead, because she's not even human. I have no real explaination why this character appeals to me so much, it's likely the aura of coolness.
  • Kikyo. (Inuyasha) She's large and in charge, but she's also dead. Well, sort of. It's not that I'm a sucker for tragic characters, but Kikyo commands presence whenver she appears.
  • Kuonji Ukyo. (Ranma 1/2) The only major reason is I've found a bit of identity with the character, but that's about it. That should say volumes about me already.
  • Wiseman. (Sailor Moon) So destroying the universe isn't exactly an admirable trait? I mean, this guy did absolutely nothing wrong as a bad guy (sure his flunkies betrayed him in the end but Death Phantom killed all of them, too, and still came out ahead). Besides, how many other Anime have evil undead sorcerers in them?
  • Ines. (Martian Successor Nadesico) I have no idea why I find her so funny; it's probably because she does a bunch of strange things with a straight face (the teddy bear had me laughing so hard, as well as when she whapped Yurika for trying to explain something without her).
  • Eboshi. (Princess Mononoke) Something about her just screams aura of coolness, just something indescribable. Charisma, maybe, but I liked her when I saw Mononoke RAW (unsubbed, undubbed). That's just how... cool she was.
  • Aneval Gato. (Gundam 0083) For a bad guy I can truly sympathize with his cause; he's just so human. When I was first introduced to Gundam 0083 I wondered which side I was supposed to be rooting for, and Gato only made it more confusing after I figured he was supposed to be the bad guy (no doubts when Cima appeared, she's truly evil). He's just... good.
  • Megumi. (Kenshin) Well, other than the fact that she's the fox lady and has a funny laugh... she isn't stupid.
  • Kasumi Todo. (Art of Fighting, King of Fighters) She's like the best kid sister anyone's ever had.
  • Geese Howard. (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, King of Fighters) Sorry, but I don't like him because of the anime, but it was more because of the games. Oh well.

Top Ten Favorite Anime

Listing is current as of 12/11/00. Don't try to argue with me because I haven't seen a great deal of shows.

  1. Inuyasha. This is really, really good. And it only came out two months ago in Japan, so I'm watching it raw....
  2. Saber Marionette J. This show is hilarious.
  3. Martian Successor Nadesico. Incredibly funny because it makes fun of fanboys.
  4. Excel Saga. It's totally random, funny as hell, and a total refresh after plowing through serious stuff.
  5. Ranma 1/2. Funny stuff at times, not what it used to be.
  6. Gundam 0083. For a short series, it's pretty good The villain is likable.
  7. Trigun. Nice music and animation, but it's kinda like Kenshin with guns.
  8. Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Good story, cool characters, interesting twists.
  9. Love Hina. Kinda like Tenchi, but in reverse, and a lot less fantastic. The turtle's awesome.
  10. Record of Lodoss War. I've got new appreciation for this one.

There you have it. More to come later.
