Ancient ArtEffects™ was established in 1987 as a companion firm to David Robison’s Design Studio to serve as the outlet for a unique line of art based on ancient history. David was commissioned by the Museum of Nature and Science to create a limited edition print for the North American Egyptian tour of Ramses II. This lead to the creation of what is now a growing source for quality ancient art pieces from around the world.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience in graphic design and fine art, David Robison combines innate artistry with an extensive knowledge of production techniques. This rare blend of creativity and craftsmanship forges an exceptional intimacy between the artist and his work. Robison’s art reflects a deep personal involvement in every facet of execution, from conceptualization to finished piece, combining the best elements of creative expression and effective communication. With many awards to his credit both from graphic design and fine arts competitions, the artist is owner and creative director of Robison Advertising Design - USA. In addition to his extensive list of corporate clients, Robison has worked closely with entities focused on art in history. Among them: the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Colorado Historical Society, as well as the Denver Advertising Federation, and the Graphic Arts Production Club of Denver. He has also done promotional work for the Artists of America and a regional arts and humanities council.
Robison worked with the Smithsonian Institution and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to promote Nomads, a major exhibit of 1,400 rare artifacts from the Soviet Union. His commissioned pieces include art prints for the north American blockbuster exhibit of Ramses II and the major exhibit Aztec in Denver, Colorado. He also traveled and worked in Egypt in 1991 for marketing an Egyptian exhibit of ancient treasures, Gold of the Pharaohs.
In 1998 David Robison was co-designer and director of Journeys of the Spirits hosted at the Aurora History Museum. An exhibit of ancient Native American history regarding the sacred sites and worship of the Native American people and helping to preserve these treasures. This exhibit went on to be hosted at Denver International Airport in 2001 and the Smithsonian in 2003.
