The World Today

Time is flying,
Life is passing,
People are racing
without stopping.
Stopping to think
Stopping to wonder
No time to reflect,
and no time to sunder.
To sunder through a peaceful park,
to 'stop and smell the roses'.
No time to stop, just to start
we're all to busy playing our part.
The part we feel we've been assigned,
for our true selves would be denied.
Who are you? and who am I?
But there's no time for questions, so don't ask why.
Life is a gift,
why race through it?
But time moves so fast
and there's no slowing it.
