It's Summer 2003! Let's go!

Last updated: 19 June, 2003

The Mission Statement:
(stolen from my brother. Thanks, Bro!)

I am going to make this summer one to remember. See wonderful people, places and things. I would like you to join me. If you don't, I will go without you. That's cool. Everyone plans their own show!

Just so you know, this is your life. It's ending one second at a time! Do it with me, do it without me, but listen to Nike no matter what! ...or...something... Anyway, if you see something you are interested in, then for godsakes let me know!

We can plan the date and do it together. Adventure is great alone but sometimes you want to say, “Damn! Did you just see what I saw?” and then there better be a friend to respond or you've been alone too long. ;)

Waterfront Blues Festival

Waterfront Park, Portland. I will be there on the 4th of July. Go with me or meet me there. Just let me know! Check out waterfrontbluesfest.com.

Oregon Country Fair

July 11-13, 2003. I will most likely be attending on Saturday the 12th. I went for the first time last year and it was not at all what I expected. It was better! Extremely imaginative fun and entertainment; shows and music (and I didn't see any illegal drug use all day). Go with me or meet me there. Just let me know! Get an idea at oregoncountryfair.org.

Pink Martini Concert in Sunny Bend, OR

Saturday, August 16th at the outdoor ampitheater in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Cubanismo will also be performing. My mom will be out of town and has given me and my guests permission to use her house outside Bend for the weekend. So, if you want, we could make an entire weekend of it in the heart of the Central Oregon Recreation Area. Discover more about the band Pink Martini.

Email me at chainein@yahoo.com

Third Annual Rafting Trip on the Deschutes

I think this will be toward the end of August this year. If you're interested, write me and let me know how the weekend of Aug. 30-31 sounds to you. More details as I get them! Again, let me know if you're interested and I'll start making a tentative list.

Swimming at my Grandparents'

They live at 104th and SE Division in Portland. Dogs are welcome, kids are welcome, it's okay to smoke and drink, plastic cups will be provided for safety. I would like to do this as much as I can, my grandparents are very cool! Anyway, the pool is big, on a raised yard above the house, the yard is landscaped, two decks, privacy and a great way to spend the evening or relax on a hot weekend.

I am up for this almost any hot day, call me at 615.6603 (work) or 880.7378 (home) or write me at chainein@yahoo.com

Camping at Smith Rock

My mom has a house next to Smith Rock. She has beds, a hot tub and a huge lawn for camping. Also, water skiing. When would be the best time for you? I want everyone to come. If you are interested, let me know. When I have a few people who want to go, we will pick a time and make plans. Do you want to go? Write me: chainein@yahoo.com

Explore Portland

There are so many things I've not yet seen in and around Portland...and so many bars where I've not yet drunk a beer. I plan on visiting the Leach Botanical Gardens and the Audubon Society soon. Also, Wahkeena Falls Trail in the Gorge. Do you want to join me? This is a glimpse at an ever-growing list and I bet you have some cool places you'd like to check out, too. Can I join you? Tell me the places you've heard of you'd like to visit. Write me at chainein@yahoo.com or go ahead and call me anytime at 880.7378 (home) or 615.6603 (work). Short notice is not a problem.

Also In the Works, watch for more details:

What are you going to do this summer?

Can I come? Can everyone come? If you want, I will gladly post it here. This summer should be great!
