Fade In:

Ext. Brandon's Neighborhood - Day

Carrie a female college student, is on her way to see her ex-boyfriend, Brandon, a collegiate male.

Carrie (v.o.)

Jason, ever since I met you, you have been nothing but a friend.

Ext. Campus Mainway - Day

Carrie and her boyfriend, Jason (male, college-age) are walking casually through campus.

Carrie (v.o.)

You've been good to me. Every time I needed comforting words-

Enter Brandon, walking opposite of them. When Carrie sees him, she grabs Jason's hand. This slightly surprises Jason, who doesn't notice Brandon.

Carrie (v.o.)

-or a hand to hold, you were there for me.

Int. Student Union - Day

Carrie and Jason are sitting together. She excuses herself and walks away.

Carrie (v.o.)

Lately, I have been wondering whether I am deserving of such compassion from someone I am just now getting to know...

Around the corner, Carrie starts to cry to herself.

Carrie (v.o.)

...how I can truly accept the way things are, given my past.

Ext. A Small Park - Day

Jason is seen reading a letter written by Carrie.

Carrie (v.o.)

I was a horrible person then. Nothing I could say or do now would change that.

Ext. Coffee Shop - Day

Carrie has purchased a cup of coffee.

Carrie (v.o.)

I met my ex over coffee. It just sort of happened.

Leaving the shop, she passes by Brandon, sitting at a table. They exchange long glances.

Carrie (v.o.)

I didn't want to at first, but we ended up talking about old times. He was nothing like I remembered; he seemed fragile...pained.

Ext. Brandon's Neighborhood - Day

Carrie stands anxiously in front of Brandon's house.

Carrie (v.o.)

I think I still love him. I think he still loves me.

Ext. A Small Park - Day

Jason becomes more aggravated by the letter he reads.

Carrie (v.o.)

We've had our share of fun, but I've given things a lot of thought. You taught me how to do that. You also taught me how to take a chance on something I might like, but am afraid of at first.

Jason rips up the letter.

Carrie (v.o.)

This time, it's Brandon. We're going to start things up again.

Jason begins digging through his backpack, leafing through books and folders for everything that reminds him of her.

Carrie (v.o.)

You've made me a stronger person. Now I'm putting my strength back where it belongs--with Brandon. Things ended horribly between us.

Ext. Brandon's Neighborhood - Day

Carrie steels herself as she approaches Brandon's door.

Carrie (v.o.)

When it came down to it, I figured he deserved a chance to make things right--forgiveness. We are forgiving people.

Ext. A Small Park - Day

Jason burns a particularly painful reminder. The ashes fall by his backpack.

Carrie (v.o.)

In time, I hope you'll come to forgive me, too. Please don't hate me--Carrie.
