Lilo is one of the title characters from "Disney's Lilo and Stitch" and definitely one of the most interesting and well-developed characters, in my humble opinion.

Do not be fooled by her admirable appearances; this is a character who depicts an authentic five/six-year-old. Lilo is a small girl with big issues. Within the film, she yells at her hard-working sister, attacks another student, and pretends that her doll had insect eggs in her head, just to name a few of them. They may sound unethical, but I, personally, think that it was adorable. Average girls of her age are not completely perfect little angels, no matter how often their parents may boast about them. There is a time when you'll find them digging through their mothers' make-up or drawing pretty pictures upon the walls of your house in bright red crayon. True, Lilo's issues may be a tad more significant, but she did lose both of her parents.

Because of her vivid imagination, she doesn't seem to make many friends. When her hula-dance instructor asks her why she wa slate, she honestly explains that she had to journey to the store and purchase some peanut butter to make a peanut-butter sandwich for Pudge, the fish. Why? Well, he controls the weather, of course. All of this makes perfect logic to her, and she punches and bites Myrtle, who thought she was crazy. Shortly afterwards, as Lilo finds the other girls going off to play dolls, she introduces her own: Scrump, a doll she made herself. Still, the others continue to reject and abandon her. What Lilo desires is a friend who wouldnt run away ... that was Stitch.

Lilo portrays the personality of a forsaken five-year-old girl with amazing accuracy. I was quickly drawn to her genuine character development ... she is much unlike the other girl characters Disney have given birth to; she is human, and that is why I am so fond of her. Andreas Deja did such an excellent job in animating not only her body and expressions but also her emotions. This movie is quite realistic in its own light, if you give it thought. In the future, I hope that Disney will continue putting such effort into developing their characters as they did with Lilo. *^^*
