In the Ukrainian egg-making tradition of pysanky, birds are known as heralds
of spring and symbols of the fulfillment of wishes. The bird on this pendant
cranes its neck looking around, actively searching for the fulfillment of
its wearer's wishes. Made from glazed red earthenware clay, the back of this
limited edition piece displays the artist's signature stamp and the LQP chop
mark, 1 1/4" high.
