The Big Bang Theory by Karen C. Fox
18 March 2003

It's a pity that I lost my original, handwritten, response before I could get it online. From the distance of six weeks I can say that I got two things out of the book: A more detailed understanding of the Big Bang, and an interest in dark matter. It was a well written exegesis on the arguments in favour and against the Big Bang theory, and the Big Bang won hands down, much to my delight. The idea of a static universe makes me kind of uneasy.

As my first book on astrophysics it was certainly well worth the read.
