The Classic Rock page
As you can see, LED ZEPPELIN is one of my favorite bands. They were considered to be the
'godfather' of heavy metal. The members, Robert Plant(vocalist), Jimmy Page(guitar), John Paul Jones(bass),
and the deceased John Bonham(drums) were all legends. During the mid 60's, LED ZEPPELIN
were considered rebels because of their music. But as time went by, more and more bands copied their style.
To me Robert Plant is the standard of a rock vocalist. Not to mention, Sammy Hagar, Axel Rose
etc. all have a style similar to Robert Plant. But to me Robert Plant will always be the Original
hard rock vocalist.

Now, this is my favorite band !! Van Halen. I guess in the mid 80's I was so into my band I had back then that
all the songs I wanted to play were all from Van Halen.
Eddie Van halen, I feel took lead guitar playing to another level. Although he does attribute his talents to listening to Hendricks, Clapton, I believe that most
of his guitar licks are very similar to Ritchie Blackmore, of Deep Purple. David Lee Roth was their vocalist in the 80's, but I really didn't like him that much. Anyway, Eddie, Mark Anthony & Alex will always be Van Halen.
