Choco meditates and prays with Buddhists monks, March 9, 2001 as they protest the Taliban's destruction of Buddhist monuments, including two massive ancient Buddhas in Bamiyan in central Afghanistan, towering 55 meters and 38 meters respectively and carved into sandstone cliffs, which date from (300 C.E.) the centuries of Buddhist rule before the arrival of Islam in the ninth century.
