This tutorial will show you
how to put together a very basic
border background.
We'll start with a
solid border background.
The first thing to do is
pick out and transload
a background tile
that you would like to see
as a border.
For this tutorial I'll use this one.
I made it clickable
so use it for the tutorial if you want.
Click on it,
hit your go to button, and then hit show last.
That will copy the url for you.
I've already resized it
to fit the blankbg
that we are going to use.
Now remember that
that my blankbgs are sized to
height=113, width=640,
so the border gif that you are using
needs to have the same height attribute
as your background blank,
which in this case is 113 pixels.
You should already have
Image Magick
saved on one of your fkeys.

If you like the broken border look
you want to find a gif that will
look nice with a frame around it
I'll use this one for an example.
Now sizing everything will
take a little time, especially if
your webtv is having a slow day!
Step 2
Next you pick out the bg color that
you would like to use.
I have already resized some of
the basic colors for you.
You can find them here
I made these 640 by 113,
if you want to make it smaller
feel free to do so,
but keep in mind that the border
may show up again
on larger resolution screens.
It's important to remember
the height of the bgblank
to insure that the gif
that you'll be using is the same size.
