This is the story of the Sifert family geneology as it was told to George Franklin Sifert Jr.

First, I must say that I did not use the name Sifert during high school (1945-1952),
during my job holding period (1954-1966),
nor during my painting period (1966-present), except for Social Security, and for the internet, I might have not used Sifert at all. I have been known as George Franklin.
This is because of the mis-pronunciation that I have always had to encounter. "See"fert, is the worst and most common version. "Se"fert, is one I could never figure out except that they knew it was not "See"fert, so they changed what they could. "Sigh"fert, is the only pronunciation that I will allow, so when I use this name, I must constantly correct everyone trying to say my name. This strict rule of pronunciation was laid out by my Grandfather, Dudley Sifert.

Dudley Sifert married Burr Dolly
and their children were; Vernon Sifert, Stella Sifert, Mable Sifert, Mary Sifert, Albert Dudley Sifert, Margeritte Sifert, George Franklin Sifert,
George Franklin Sifert Sr. married Reba Eugenia Smith their only son George Franklin Sifert Jr.
George Franklin Sifert Jr. married Judith Leah Kaylor (under the name George Franklin)
and our children were; Brent Franklin, Shelly Denise Franklin, and Kitty Franklin. I have outlived all of them, but not on purpose.
