Three Time National Champion/World Hall Of Famer

Lee Ireland begfan his karate training thirtytwo (32) years ago at the age if fourteen (14). Most of Lee's training came from the legendary Master Maynard Miner of Brooklyn, New York, who trained Lee in the traditional Shotokan Karate. During his early years, Lee belonged to the East Coast Karate Association, the All-American Karate Federation and the Japan Karate Association. After eight (8) years of hard training Lee obtained the rank of first (1st) degree Black belt. His consistent hard training also enabled him to finish among the top three fighters in several regional and national tournaments and won Lee a spot in the United States Team, competing in the International Amateur Karate Federation World Tournament in Tokyo, Japan,in July of 1977.

At the age of 46, Lee continues to thrive on the excitment of competition. Lee is a three time national champion in the senior/executive black belt fighting division (1990-PKL; 1994 & 1995 NASKA). Presently, Lee is a seventh (7th) degree Black belt and chief instructor of the Twin Towers Karate Academy located in Ozone Park, New York. Lee is the promoter of the prestigious Twin Towers Classics International Karate Championships. He was recently inducted into the World Head of Family Sokeship Council Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
