Apache, Mohawk Mayan, Indio (the Black Indian) are some of the names associated with this full blooded Native American. His mother (an Indian Princess) was Apache and Mohawk and his father was Mohawk.

Raised in the small town of Derby Ct., by his grandmother, Grand Master Sancarlos was what you might call a wayward child. He was taught discipline at a very young age under the tutelage of Grand Master Chief Oscar Addamson and Master Joseph Wong who were both visually impaired. Grand Master Sancarlos began to learn the Sticky Finger and Blind martial arts systems. In his early teens he was introduced to Judo.

He later joined the Marines buy using his cousin's birth certificate. He was then stationed in Korea and Japan in the early 1950's. He was attached to the United Nations Forces and trained with the ROK (Republic of Korea) Marines. A group known for their "badness". Later in Japan Sancarlos (registry named: Yoshido Nemoto) studied at the OJO-MAS school in Oppama.

After the Armed Forces in 1955, Grand Master Sancarlos opened his first school in the Bronx, called the "Seven Samurai", which consisted of mostly family and friends. He later opened the "Son of the Seven Samurai", in a Bronx church where he instructed Billy T Taylor, Happy Bernard aka (Black Belt Jones), Jimmy Monroe and the twin dragons Jeff and Jerry Monroe - ( founders of the Magnificent Thirteen - known today as the Guardan Angels). At both schools he taught Sticky Finger, Blind and his early self defense system, which combined some of his military techniques with Japanese Goju and Tae Kwon Do.

In 1960, Henry Cho had opened a school on the east coast, he tried to convince Mr.Cho to teach him but Mr. Cho did not enroll non-Korean students. Instead he contacted Grand Master Nick Corrado who was teaching his own self defense system (a combination of Aikido, Judo and combat techniques). Sancarlos earned a Masters rank in the Corrado system and still teaches it today.

Throughout the years Grand Master Sancarlos has worked with and assisted many well known martial arts notables such as : Remy Hannibal, Aaron Banks, Ronald Duncan, Fred Hamilton,George Cofield, Thomas Lapuppet, Hawk Frazier, Owen Watson, Louis Delgado, Papsan Canty and George Crayton to name a few. Presently Grand Master Sancarlos is the inheritor of two systems Sticky Finger/Blind and the Corrado systems as well as the founder of his own Sancarlos System of Self Defense.
