The basic idea of the game is that Alucard, a dhampire and son of Dracula and a human woman who was mistakenly burned at the stake as a witch, has to destroy his father and gets a bit of help from Maria Renard, sister-in-law to Richter Belmont who's under a evil spell of the Dark Priest called Shaft (Shut yo mouth!) and descended from a long line of vampire hunters. Hmm... I'm almost certain that was a run-on sentence. Sounds a bit like a soap opera too, huh?
