What it is Really like to Leave The Earth by CROSSING OVER GUY

I have been given some wonderful information, by my Angels and Guides, about the meaning of our existence and "life on the other side." I have been told that we are here, at this time, in this life, to learn and to grow. There are lessons we must learn, experiences to be had, others whose lives we are destined to touch so that we and they may fulfill a part of our souls' journeys. Our souls are seeking perfection. They want to become as closely attuned to God as they can possibly become, to achieve the highest sense of perfection possible. Some souls make many trips to "the human form of existence" in order to learn, to experience and to grow. I have been told that the path to enlightenment resembles a rainbow. (Funny, I thought, when I received this message, how Noah received a rainbow after the Earth was destroyed by a great flood.) Each of our souls "possesses" a color or many colors, depending on the amount of enlightenment we have received. I was shown that these colors are similar to badges received by Boy or Girl Scouts. They are "awarded" when we have obtained certain knowledge and experience that our souls need. Our souls continue to visit the EarthlyRealm until each of the colors of the rainbow has been "awarded." At that time, all the colors blend -- and we all know that the blending of every color in the spectrum creates white. Pure, blessed, complete, holy white. When a soul is white, it may stay "on the other side" and, at that time, it may help those on the Earthly Plane to learn and grow and evolve. The Spirit World is a place of peace and rest and learning. The reason no one here on the Earthly Plane can accurately describe "the world beyond" is because it is a world beyond the scope of our human imagination. It is an ethereal place, unlike anything we ever experience as mere mortals. Those souls who have grown and learned and evolved to the most God-like state are the highest of high. John Edward received messages from his guides that told about the Counsel of Elders. Coincidentally, my guides called members of this Highest of Order of Souls "The Council of Light." Betty J. Eadie, in her book, EMBRACED BY THE LIGHT, calls this group "The Council of Eight" -- very close, when written or seen in the mind's eye, to "The Council of Light"! What happens at the moment our soul leaves its Earthly body? I am told that we "cross over" to a white light, a place that seems, at first, to be void of all image and substance...similar to flying in an airplane that passing through a heavy layer of bright, white clouds. We may hear sounds -- voices or music or a rushing sound, like the blowing of the winter wind -- and soon we are met by the spirits of those we once knew on the Earthly Plane who have crossed over before us. They come to welcome us and to reassure us that we are in a safe and wonderful place. After passing, our souls go through a period of adjustment. If the passing has been especially difficult or traumatic, a soul may need to rest, rejuvenate and recuperate. In the Spirit Realm, souls have the opportunity to learn and to grow. How this is accomplished, I have not been shown, but I have been told that this is a place of growth, evolution and learning. After the passing of several of my relatives, I have found myself uttering the words: "Now, she (or he) knows the secret." The secret is what happens when the last breath has been breathed, the heart has beaten its last beat and the soul has left its earthly "shell." Am I afraid to die? I suppose, in some ways, I am. I think we are all somewhat afraid or reluctant to give up this earthly existence. As we are dying, our bodies may resist, but our souls know, without a single doubt, that it is time to break free from the earthly bonds and cross over.
