Complete instrument landing system (ILS)
Since it is so close to the Pacific Ocean, Watsonville Municipal Airport is plagued with constant fog. To reduce the airport minimums, it is necessary to install a complete the ILS equipment to allow for a full ILS approach. The additional equipment that will be installed includes a glide slope and a medium intensity approach lighting system.
