---------------------
The Hester Cemetery is located at 5095 E. Huntsville Road, Fayetteville, AR (near the Baldwin community). This is a rural cemetery in Washington County, Arkansas. It is at the end of a small dirt road which turns directly off of Huntsville Road. There is a rather small sign, visible from either side of the highway, indicating the turn-off for the cemetery. One must watch carefully for this sign; it's easy to miss.
The cemetery is still in use. There is much lichen damage to some of the stones; many of them are difficult to read. There are unmarked graves
here, as well as quite a few marked only with plain rocks. This small cemetery has a gate around the front, and a barbed wire fence running along the back. It appears to be well-kept.
This transcription was performed by Shannon Seyler and Randal Seyler in June of 1999. Comments may be sent to archangel505@yahoo.com. Any updates or information regarding this transcription are certainly welcome, particularly information regarding some of the harder-to-read stones. A few may possibly be readable
with further effort. Many, however, may simply be lost to time.
