Let us begin with a house that is near and dear to my heart.
The Seiberling Mansion

Seiberling Mansion of Kokomo Indiana, Howard Co.

This beautiful Victorian mansion is called "Seiberling Mansion". It was built in 1887 in Kokomo Indiana. The structure is a mixture of Neo-Jacobean and Romanesque Revival. The cost to build it was $50,000. I grew up in Kokomo and got the opportunity to see this house many times. It looks radiant at Christmas. It often reminds me that there is still old beauty thriving in the heart of a growing city. No matter how many new houses are built in the city my heart still is captured by the old beautiful Victorian houses of that town. The same is true for any town I pass through. My attention is drawn more to the older more ornate homes.
