MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Hubert Conrad "Bob" Bechard, 86, died March 19, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Memphis. He was born October 20, 1924 in Plattsburgh, NY to Marguerite and William Bechard. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and had completed over 50 bombing missions. He was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS, and relocated to Memphis following Hurricane Katrina. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and life on the Gulf Coast. Survivors include his children, Sherry (Carter), John (Regina), and Clayton (Jeri); 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy P. Bechard. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, MS with arrangements by Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
