He served as a U.S. Navy Corpsman during World War II, attached to the 1st Marine Division in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Angeron; two daughters, Barbara E. Ferguson of Biloxi, and Gay Nell Angeron of Morgan City, LA; two stepdaughters, Sandy Trotter of Memphis, TN, and Billie Kay Livingston of Marietta, OH; three sons, Gillis J. GREENVILLE, MISSISSIPPI: Lee F. Antrim, 93, died December 31, 1998. He was a retired merchant and farmer. He was born January 29, 1905 to the late George Thomas and Edie Quick Antrim. Moore of Greenville; a daughter, Eugenia Kline of Cleveland, a sister, Effie Jones of Greenville; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. WEST POINT, MISSISSIPPI: Vashti Lyon Applewhite died January 18, 2004. She attended the Main Street Presbyterian Church, PCA in Columbus. She was the daughter of the late Ensley Irene Russell and Emmitt Luther Lyon, and was the widow of Henry Mack Applewhite. She was a retired beautician. She was also a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Among the survivors are a daughter, Ensley A. Howell and husband Chuck of Pontotoc; a son, Henry J. Applewhite and wife Melba of Aberdeen; five grandchildren, Jennifer Garrett, Amanda Garrett, Russell Applewhite, all of Aberdeen, Ben and John Howell, both of Pontotoc; one sister, Anne L. Gilliland of West Point. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Janet Diane Howell. Services were held at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Danner, the Rev. David Hamilton and Bro. James Ramsey officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point, MS.

PASCAGOULA, MISSISSIPPI: Miguel Martin Flechas, Jr., 92, died September 22, 2006. He was born November 5, 1913 to the late Miguel Flechas, Sr. and Louise Flechas. For 55 years, he owned M.M. Flechas Shipyard. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, the Elks Club, and the Hickory Hills Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Adele Flechas; a son, Miguel M. "Mike" Flechas III of Pascagoula; three sisters, Anais Penola of Gautier, Lillian Lynch of Baton Rouge, LA, and Lou Davies of Opelousas, LA; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley (Cleveland) Williams of Ecru, and Jesteen (Anthony) Andrews and Josephine Brown, all of Pontotoc; four sons, Dewayne Floyd of Tupelo, Harvey Floyd of Verona, Heron Floyd, Jr. (Carol) of Clarksville, TN, and Ben (Gloria) Floyd of San Antonio, TX; her mother, Ruby Eades of Pontotoc; a brother, Benjamin (Bobbie Nell) Eades of Pontotoc; three sisters-in-law, Estelle Floyd and Minnie Floyd, both of Pontotoc, and Catherine Floyd of Gary, IN; an aunt, Jennie B. Wiley of Tupelo; an uncle, C.B. White of Grand Rapids, MI; 36 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Chestrene Foster of Greenville; five daughters, Barbara Jenkins and Katherine Foster, both of St. Louis, Coshanda McVay and Tabitha McVay, both of Memphis, and Priscilla Jones of Greenville; a son, Willie T.
