Stonehenge Stone Circle Access (Updated for 2007)
(previously called Private
Access)
What it is and how it works. This explains how to get entry within
the Neolithic circle rather than being kept behind the barrier with all
the other tourists. Lots of associated links.
|
|
Highgate Cemetery (Updated
for 2007)
An
atmospheric London Victorian-era cemetery with a wonderful collection
of funerary architecture. This feature gives
background, history, visiting information and associated
articles.
|
|
London Eye (Updated
for 2007)
The Eye is currently
the largest observation wheel in the world. Sited
on the Thames, near the Houses of Parliament, it provides, during its
30-minute rotation, glorious views across London--up to 25-miles on a
good day.

This site
originated as a page made (using Netscape Composer [1024 x 768
resolution]) for my own use. I wanted to access
as much information about
London (although there is some overlap
with other portions of the UK) from one place--thus this London
themed web directory.
As I was frequently asked for specific links I decided to make it
available to all. The site is decorated with
words rather than pictures (mostly). They serve as an
expression of my
regard for the city -- a tribute. I hope they remind everyone a city is
always an amalgamation of all the individuals who ever
inhabited it. |
