... applied for a Confederate pension from Jackson County in 1911.
After his death in 1917, his widow Nannie Honey applied for a
Confederate pension. The pension file number for James H. and
Nannie Honey is #19400. In his pension application, he cited
his service in Co. B, Bradley's Battalion Arkansas Cavalry, 1863-65.
However, he is listed as a private in Co. M, 45th Arkansas Mounted Infantry,
enlisted at Jacksonport in 1864, surrendered and paroled at Jacksonport
on June 5, 1865. Private Abraham Honey also served in Co. M, 45th
Arkansas Mounted Infantry.

T. H. Honey
Thomas H. Honey, age 75 of Route 2 Stegall, died sunday morning at his
home, following an extended illness. Mr. Honey a life long resident of
Jackson Co., was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mary "Mollie" Honey ; 3 sons; Luther Honey
of Dexter MO., Adolph and Arvin Honey of Detroit, MI; 6 daughters: Mrs.
Katie Cathey and Mrs. Clara Fraser of Newport Route 2, Mrs. Elizabeth
Walker of North Little Rock, Mrs. Nora Stegall of Benton, Mrs. Gracie
Fraser and Mrs. Audrey Taylor of Stuttgart. 32 grandchildren, and 4
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Airport Church of
Christ with Glen Pace and T. H. Sherrill officiating. Burial was at
Harp Cemetery by Dillinger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary Ann (Anderson) Honey, aged 84, died
Sunday in a local hospital. She was a member
of the Church of Christ.
Mary is the daughter of Joel + Margaret (Fielding)
Anderson, born 1877 in Woodruff County.
Survivors include 3 sons, Luther Honey of Delta MO,
Adolph and Arvin Honey, both of Detroit MI,
6 daughters, Mrs. Ed Cathey, Mrs. Willis Fraser, and
Mrs. Homer Fraser of Newport, Mrs. Elizabeth Walker
and Mrs. Eldred Taylor both of Little Rock and
Mrs. Perla Raper of Benton AR, 37 grandchildren
and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the air base Church of Christ
Tuesday afternoon by Kent Harold and burial
was in Barnes (Walnut Grove) Cemetery by Dillinger
Funeral Service.

don stegall of hot springs and jerry walker of tenneessee , one daughter camilla white
of benton, four sisters katie cathey and clara fraser of newport , gracie fraser of of north
little rock , and audrey taylor of , two brothers arvin honey of newport and adolph honey
of florida , 12 grandchildren , 14 great-grandchildren.
funeral services were held thursday may 12 at jacksoport baptist church,
with rev. billy ed morris officiating and rev. l c meuir assisting. pallbearers were scott stegall,
larry stegall , gary stegall , cecil foshee , bernie clark and harry grizzle.
honary pallbearers were pete draper , bill jones , dan ryles , j d smart and troy jones.
burial was in walnut grove cemetery.
