I live in Jackson TN... my dad fondly remembers
"Granny Julian". I must let you know! Bess Mitchell
was not Jester's husband. Bess was Leroy's sister and
Jester was married to Leroy Mitchell (we're guessing
on this name as he died very soon after they were
married. I will be in touch with another Aunt to
confirm the name. My dad has 5 brothers and sisters
and I'm interrogating them all this weekend <grin>).
All of my aunts and uncles loved Granny Julian. She
was a popular lady! Sadly, Bess passed away two days
ago. The family has promised to copy me any records
they may find.
I will gladly send you the info I have on Granny
Julian's Mitchells. Most likely tomorrow when I have a
break at work... most of my research is there.
The Mitchells originate from way back when in
Scotland... Innes clan (very cool motto and tartan).
Glasgow has a Mitchell Library that someday I hope to
visit. I've seen alot of info on the Mitchells in
Alabama... will have to dig deeper too!

This is really cool meeting a cousin... I'm glad I
