I hope George can help you.  He's a great guy but has had some health
problems.  Both he and his wife are descended from the Brownlees of
Lanarkshire.  When we went to Scotland in 2000 he spent 3 days showing us
around.

I'm not very familiar with Arkansas, although I have a 2nd cousin in Mina --
Bill Duff.  He's also very interested in genealogy.  He and I are gr
gandchildren of Mary Anne Brownlee of the Torfoot Brownlees.

My mother also lived in Arkansas for a short time after her marriage.  Her
oldest child was born in Gravett.

But the person I'm looking for is Thomas C. Tomberlin who is in the 1850
Census for Franklin Co.  My gr grandfather was Thomas C. Tomberlin who was b.
in NC and then gets 'lost' until he shows up in MN in 1860.  We think this
Thomas Tomberlin in Franklin Co. is him with an earlier family.  If you know
any Tomberlins in Arkansas, let me know.

Betty
