Thomas will probated August 25, 1817 in Pulaski Co., Ky. Will Book 1,
vol. l, Sect 12., son of John Heinrich from Germany. Thomas moved to
Virginia in 1783 to a 310 acre farm in Montgomery or Wyth Co., Va. andon
to Pulaski Co., with 6 youngest children in 1798. His sister - in -law
was there by 1810 too. He was Lutheran in Virginia. He or his cousin
Thomas was in Lancaster Co., Militia (2nd class, 2nd Co., 8thBattalion.
Both disappeared from tax rolls in 1782, ours to Virginia..

one chest, 2 sheep, 10 bushels corn, 5 bushels wheat, 5 gal. whiskey,100
lbs of bacon and 50 lbs port to be paid annually during her naturallife
or widowhood, the cow and other provisions to be paid by my two sons,
George Meece and Joseph Meece.
To my son Henry, 100 acres where he now lives at . $300 to son
Christopher and 100 acres where he now lives at. $350, to sonsGeorge
and Joseph, land where I live at. $600, also I still and ten vessels,
also to George 1 black mare, to Joseph 1 roan mare. 1 sow, 1 barrow to
each of them, also 2 pairs of chain trees. Balance of estate to besold
at public sale and money to be divided equally between Jacob Meece,
Rachel Harges, Catherine Dutton, Christina Letts and John Meece after
deducting out of Johns part which has been paid him and if the said
property should not amount to $300, to each the said loyalties to wit:
Henry, Christopher, George and Joseph is to pay a sum equivalent toeach
of their shares to the other legatees till each share be equal. Ifthe
property sold should amount to more than the sum of $300 to each ofthe
above named legatees the over plus to be equally divided among thewhole
of the children. February 23, 1814.

they were of the Lutheran body. In 1798 moved to Pulaski Co., (then
