Peter came to America aboard the good ship "Molly", out of Rotterdam, viaDeal, England (for permission to land in the colonies), and completed thejourney in Philadelphia, PA on September 30, 1727. The ship wascaptained by Jonas Hodgeston. Peter is not listed in the ship's logwhich implies that he was a child since only males over the age of 16were listed. Three Mosers are listed, Hans(e), Jost, and Christian. Oneof them was obviously his father. These Mosers became part of thegrowing Pennsylvania German community who came to America to escapereligious persecution. Peter Wilhemus Moser became an indentured servantand completing that contract he homesteaded near Lancaster, PA. Sometimelater, Peter became an evangelist for the Indians. In that capacity, in1758, he was scalped and killed in what is now Pendleton County, WestVirginia.
