Erik Habel , Perth ON 613-326-0519 1989 GMC S-15
Erik is a very ambitious 17 year old and this ambition has turned out one trick '89 GMC S15. This truck was worked on in his home shop for 8 months with help from Baino. This truck has come a long way from the day Erik bought the stocker, seen in one of the pics.
Erik, started by stripping the fenders, rad support and box from the truck, as well as the doors and all the interior. After inspecting all the body parts and frame, Erik decided it would be best to purchase new inner and outer fenders as well as doors and a new tailgate. This saved a pile of repair work! The box was in pretty good shape so the lads decided to strip all the old paint and refinish it.
Erik purchase a sweet body kit which he smoothed into the body of the truck, he also shaved the tailgate handle and the radio antenna. Diamond clear headlights and clear corners were installed to freshen up the front end of his dime along with Euros tails at the rear..
The stock 2.5L engine has been detailed with steel braided hoses and silicone vacuum lines and wire looms. Bosch Platinum 4 plugs, cap and wires and a K&N filter help to add some life to the baby mouse motor, the gases are pushed through a custom Valley Thunder exhaust 2.5" pipe, hi flo cat and Twister muffler exiting the center of the truck at the rear through a double stainless 3" tip.
Erik has added enough neon lighting both inside and out to make people wear sunglasses at night!!! The interior is receiving RACTIVE race seats, Sparco 4 point belts and new black carpet. Erik has built a custom sub box which houses 2 x 10" Rockford Fosgate Subs powered by a Fosgate Amp along with 5" mids and tweets.
For a touch of class Erik purchased a Lexan rear window with a straight plate holder and 3rd brake light. He has an Extang tonneau cover to smooth things off. He is building a custom box enclosure to house the spare and another 12" sub for good luck!?
Erik wrapped the truck in light blue metallic paint. (Where are the flames?)
Erik decided the S truck was just a tad too high, so the lads installed 2" drop coils and 3 blocks in the rear. This cool ride rolls on 17" Eagle Alloys on BFG G-Force tires.
This truck has been a dream for Erik and he has worked very hard and used all his own money to put this ride together, along with help from his friends, this truck will be a hit at all the cruze nites!!! He is now doing a school COOP placement with Guy Wright in Perth and will soon to do even more mods to his truck on his own.
Erik has a wild 300HP 305 Chev to install in the future. So stay tuned on this baby!!! |
