The Old City in Tallinn has been recognised on the UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List. Romance and a sense of history at every turn.
Walk round the medieval streets and squares of Tallinn by day and sample its boundless Bars, Restaurants and Niteclubs by night. In Tallinn the nightlife goes on 'till the wee small hours.
Rocca Al Mare is a beautiful open air museum located near Tallinn that houses authentic farmhouses, country pubs, churches and windmills.
Eat at the acclaimed Olde Hansa where you are taken back in time and served dishes such as Bear, Wild Boar and Elk, though if you are feeling slightly less adventurous you can sample the salmon.
For the ultimate adrenalin rush why not try racing old Russian Cars in a Demolition Derby.
In much the same vein, give Go-Karting or Quad Biking a shot. Maybe something more subdued like Canoeing or Riding is more your thing. You could also visit one of the many local National Parks and Reserves, such as Lahemaa.
Regular buses services connect Tallinn with Parnu, the journey time takes approximately 90 minutes.
(Slightly) Further Afield
Tartu, is Estonias' second city and in itself is an attractive confident university town. Tartu comes complete with an Old Town, Art Galleries, Museums, Cafes and a vibrant nightlife.
In winter the resort town of Otepää is easily within reach, where you can indulge in cross-country skiing, ice fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.
The islands of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa, all within a day trip retain a sense of an age gone by. Kihnu can be reached by local ferry and flights can be arranged to Kuressaare and Ruhnu all direct from the local airport.
Riga, capital of Latvia is only three hours away on the new EU funded Via Baltica Highway.
Frequent Bus services connect all Baltic capitals, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Helsinki is only an hour away by fast ferry from Tallinn.
